Aline makes this Gigondas rosé in very small quantities and we were very pleased to secure a limited amount for PJs customers. It is composed of 50% Cinsault, while Grenache and Mourvèdre make up the balance, which is drawn off the skins after a maximum 9 hours of contact in the vats before the wine undergoes fermentation. The wine undergoes cold stabilization without malolactic fermentation. It then rests in stainless steel before it is bottled in the spring. This exceptional dry rosé is brilliantly colored with vibrant hues of pink and shimmering highlights. Sweet notes of strawberry jam, bright dried orange peel and cotton candy nuances gracefully unfurl in the glass. The palate is a rich, dynamic expression of bright red berry fruit flavors, orange zest, supple hints of wet stone and a touch of candied violet. Lively acidity gives this warm weather gem a graceful lift, merging into a refreshing and lingering finish.
