The Fenouillet vineyards are situated at an altitude of 350 meters above sea level on clay and chalk soil. The vines are between thirty and fifty years old. They produce southern Rhône staples: 60% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 10% old vine Mourvèdre and 10% Cinsault. This Côtes du Ventoux dry rosé is a remarkably multi-dimensional, summertime standout. Delicate and peachy, it offers pretty hints of black cherry and strawberry jam, peaches and cream and blooming rose fragrance. These scents are backed by cherry, peach, and crushed gooseberry flavors; vibrant, grapefruit-laced crispness; a hefty dollop of bright minerality; and a creamy, supple texture. A very flavorful and satisfying rosé at an irresistible price. Donald |
