It's hard to find any kind of good, logical reason not to drink bring this wine home -- especially if you're on the hunt for an everyday house red that embodies the true meaning of value: price and quality. This Montepulciano from Abruzzo has got 'em both by the barrel-full. It's super fresh, medium-bodied, and full of lively red berry fruit, violets, spice, and a little bit of new leather. Great for weeknight pasta and marinara with some grilled fennel-spiked sausage. -- PJ
