Domaine Pelaquie Cotes Du Rhone Rouge 2010 (750ML)File this under "insane Rhône value". Here was a tiny estate, happily going about its grape picking and crushing until Parker took notice. Blam! The place blew up overnight. The good news is, not all that much has changed and they are still putting out fantastic Rhône-style wines at a very enticing price-point. Black fruits, smoke, herbs…they are all here, and in 2010, here in a very rounded, enticing structure. This is one of those wines you could bring to the party and not look like you bought it for price alone. You're more likely to hear, "Mmm, who brought this?" rather than, "oh great, another bottle of Yellow Australian Wild Animal". Or forget the party and slide this up to some red meat and live like Rhône Royalty on an Inwood budget. - PJ Code: W-00001206
