Jean-Paul Brun Terres Dorees Cote De Brouilly 2010 (750ML)
Located further south, Côte de Brouilly gets its name from the steep hills of Mont Brouilly and is famous for its blue/green stones, as apposed to the golden rocks of the deep south from which Jean-Paul has named his winery (Terres Dorées = golden earth).
The 2010 CDB is a wine of pure energy. Its tart core of young strawberry is wrapped around a spike of acidity and freshness that makes it hard not to empty the entire bottle yourself…before the entrees. This is pure wine enjoyment defined. While many speak of a "finish" in wine, this is not a wine that lingers, but clears. Here a little chill on the bottle will bring out even more of its red fruit goodness and makes it über-versatile with food pairing options. - PJ
