Jacquesson Cuvee 741 Extra Brut Champagne NV (750ML)

Jacquesson Cuvee 741 Extra Brut Champagne NV (750ML)

93pts- Vinous
The Cuvée No. 741, based on the 2013 vintage, is quite pretty. Complex, nuanced and multi-dimensional in feel, the 741 is beautifully layered in the glass. In this release, the Pinot Noir is especially expressive and gives the wine a measure of textural breadth that is unusual for a young 700-series Champagne. Soft contours and a host of toasty, resonant flavors give the 741 its distinctive feel. Best of all, the 741 will drink well upon release. Disgorged June 2017. Dosage is 2.5 grams per liter.

93pts- James Suckling
The signature complexity and aromas of nutty red fruit and preserved yellow citrus make for a very complex and interesting NV style. The palate has a deeply flavorsome core of grapefruit and hazelnuts with a fullish texture and super fresh finish. Drink now.

92pts- Wine Advocate
The NV Cuvée No. 741 Extra-Brut is based on the 2013 harvest, and my sample is the very first disgorgement from August 2017. The wine has a white-golden color that is brighter than the Cuvée No. 740, which is based one 2012. Still quite reductive on the nose, this is a very pure, fresh and elegant Cuvée that reflects the vitality of the 2013 vintage. "The Pinot Noir was spectacularly tasty in 2013 and showed good fruit and structure," says Hervé Chiquet. The Cuvée 741 is really straight, fresh and stimulating and has lots of sweet cherry and red berry flavors. Lean, linear and straightforward. Tasted April 2018.
